Gary grew up in the Pacific Northwest with a natural talent in mechanics. After graduating from diesel tech school, he went to work as a mechanic for a concrete company, and later for a heavy equipment dealership. He eventually opened his own heavy equipment mobile service repair business. Several years later, Gary headed to the Bakken for what was supposed to be a two-week stint of repairing equipment for KLE — those two weeks turned into six months. His business flourished so quickly that he had to take the signs off his truck in order to keep up with the workload. He later contracted with United Rentals to manage their service department. His family convinced him to come on board with KLE in 2017 as the asset manager, and he hasn’t looked back.
