The Difference Between Success and Failure
One of the most important factors in determining a company’s success or failure is the motivation level of their employees. But what really motivates people?
Motivation is not something we give to others — it’s a characteristic people already have within themselves. Employees innately have talents, drive, and ideas that are worth sharing with their peers, but it’s up to us, as leaders, to create an environment for our employees to thrive.
KLE Construction is in an exciting position. We currently have an experienced leadership group that loves passing down their knowledge and creating opportunities for our employees to learn, grow, and feel like they are a part of a team — and a part of our family.
Our foremen and superintendents make every effort to get to know each and every one of their crew members. In doing so, they are able to figure out the physiological and social needs of each person, which ultimately creates employees who enjoy their jobs, contribute to a positive work environment, increase their productivity, and ultimately improve customer satisfaction.
Vince Lombardi — five-time NFL champion and Hall of Fame head coach of the Green Bay Packers — once said, “Coaches who can outline plays on a blackboard are a dime a dozen. The ones who win get inside their players and motivate.” This quote rings true on the playing field and the jobsite alike.
At KLE, our leaders understand that we must listen to our employees in order to connect with them. Whether we have ten employees or 1,000, we know that motivated team members are crucial to our success. With a motivated staff, KLE Construction can take our business to the next level.
